Daemon has been with Oakridge Nursery since he could walk. After earning a Bachelors of Science degree in Landscape Design from South Dakota State University in 1999, he was promoted to a landscape designer and has been planning residential projects and commercial developments since. Daemon specializes in decks, gazebos, ponds and patios and is recognized as a South Dakota Certified Nurseryman.

Aaron joined Oakridge Nursery in 2000, and was promoted to a landscape designer in 2003 after he graduated from South Dakota State University with a Bachelors of Science degree in Landscape Design. In addition to his educations and being a South Dakota Certified Nurseryman, Aaron’s on-site construction experience with walls, water features, grading, outdoor lighting and patios gives him the ability to complete your entire landscape from start to finish.

Spencer joined the Oakridge design team in 2001 after spending six years with a design firm in Kansas City, M.O. He is a local expert in creating outdoor living environments and prides himself on his ability to highlight the details of a home and landscape with the use of accent lighting. Spencer earned a Bachelors of Science degree in Landscape Design from South Dakota State University and is a South Dakota Certified Nurseryman.

Annette is a well-seasoned employee. She is our store manager and oversees the ordering of products for the store including annuals, gardening products and much more. She has many years of experience that aid her to assist in any area of our store. Our nursery cats can always count on her to spoil them and bring them tuna.

Julie has been with Oakridge Nursery since 2002. She started with the focus of growing, maintaining, and selling perennials but has since adapted the Business operations manager position. She can be found working all over the store and is happy to welcome everyone to the nursery with a friendly conversation. In her free time, she loves to go fishing with her husband Ron.

Joe joined the Oakridge design team in 2020 after running his own landscaping business in Watertown for several years. Construction does not need to be a stressful process. No matter the scale of the project, Joe’s main priority is superior client service and convenience throughout the construction process. As a South Dakota native, he takes pride in designing and installing modern-prairie-themed outdoor living spaces that enhance the most important aspects of your property. With his bachelor’s in landscape design from South Dakota State University and his many years of landscape installation and design experience, Joe looks forward to working with you to accomplish your dream outdoor living space.

Mason joined the Oakridge design team in 2022 after working in Worthington, Minnesota as a landscape professional for several years. No matter how big or small the project, Mason takes pride in his ability to transform outdoor spaces while focusing on the overall design and layout to ensure the best use of space. Mason brings visions to life with the utilization of 2D master plans and life-like 3D renderings tailored to each project. His Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture from South Dakota State University combined with experience in construction and design gives him a broad pallet to work with you!

Amanda started working at Oakridge Nursery as a part-time seasonal employee when she was in high school. She received her Biology degree with an emphasis in Ecology from Augustana University in May 2020. As the years progressed, her part-time position at Oakridge blossomed into a year-round full-time position. Amanda now specializes in growing and selling perennials. When she is not working, Amanda enjoys caring for her collection of various succulents and snake plants.

Jessie joined the Oak Ridge Nursery team in 2021 as a full-time sales associate in Trees and Shrubs. With a Studio Art degree from the University of Minnesota Morris in 2016, one of her favorite activities at the store is to prune and shape the shrubs to keep them refreshed. In her free time, Jessie enjoys drawing and painting on paper and canvas.

Emma grew up in Brandon and joined our team as a seasonal employee in 2023 and is now year-round full-time as she quickly found her spot in the greenhouse. She loves working with annuals as well as ordering and maintaining houseplants. When Emma is at work, she enjoys reading, caring for her houseplant collection, and hanging out with her cats.

Laura started working at Oakridge Nursery as an intern while studying Horticulture Technology and Landscaping at Southeast Technical College. She graduated in May 2024 and now specializes in trees and shrubs. In her free time, she enjoys caring for her houseplants and hanging out with her cat Salem.
